Ypres Town Cemetery

 

 

Ypres Town Cemetery, West Vlaanderen, Belgium, was used from October 1914 to May 1915, and once in 1918. The cemetery contains 145 Commonwealth burials of the First World War, grouped in plots among the civil graves.

One man who had served in the North Irish Horse's predecessor, the North of Ireland Imperial Yeomanry, Captain the Hon Andrew Edward Somerset Mulholland, is buried here (back row, second from left). The location of his grave is shown on the CWGC cemetery plan below.
